Dear friends and family,
It’s been 10 years since my last missions trip to Ecuador and a lot has happened since then. I work for a real estate tech startup, graduated with an MBA, started dating, and most recently became a house church shepherd. The changes are constant and are counted as blessings, but they all serve as a reminder of God’s faithfulness and the work He is doing in my life and around me.
The past year God has been convicting me of the Great Commission (Matthew 28.16-20). When God called me to be a shepherd, I followed with the hope of stewarding His people well. However, the transition was not so simple. Learning to love and make disciples of others meant devoting some of my time, effort, and finances. It meant becoming vulnerable for the sake of others. It meant swallowing my pride in service of others. But truly, it meant surrendering my life to Jesus to pursue His lost sheep.
But I know God’s heart extends beyond the members of my house church. Jesus commanded us to ‘make disciples of ALL nations.’ This summer I have the opportunity to serve the people of Ecuador. My church, Harvest, is sending a team between July 14-19 to minister to the remote people groups. Some of our ministries include VBS (children ministry), medical/optical/dental, and evangelism. Our time is short, but our hope and prayer is that seeds will be planted in fertile soil.
Even though a few of us will be going, all of us are part of the same team. I ask you to prayerfully consider partnering with me and be a sender! We are responsible for our vaccinations, airfare, in-country fees, and other miscellaneous expenses. Contributions are tax-deductible! Here are 3 simple ways to financially partner with me:
-
Checks - made out to Harvest @ 16796 E. Davenport Rd, Winter Garden, FL 34787
-

More importantly, I am asking for your prayers! There is a lot of work to be done in Ecuador and in my own heart. Please pray for:
-
The people of Ecuador. That those hearing about Jesus would receive the Gospel and desire to know more. And those that follow Jesus would be emboldened to share their faith and live out the Gospel in their communities.
-
Our safety that we would have safe passage to, through, and from Ecuador.
-
Our health so we can minister to God’s people unhindered.
-
For diligence in preparation. That we would prepare for our ministries and continually be in prayer and in the Word.
-
For spiritual wisdom and discernment when engaging with the people of Ecuador.
Thanks for joining me and I look forward to sharing what God has been doing in Ecuador!
