Ecuador Mission Trip 2013

Hello there,

How are you? I hope this letter finds you well. I just wanted to share what God is currently doing in my life right now. I am going on my second mission trip to Ecuador with Harvest KPCO, my home church in Orlando, Florida on July 16 to 25. A team of 16 from Harvest, along with 7 members of KPCO's Korean Ministry and 5 people from Santiago will be going to Ecuador to plant seeds and further God's kingdom.

Differing from my first trip, this time we are venturing into unchartered territories and will be seeking to reach people we have not yet visited in past trips. We hope to build relationships with the people of Ecuador through different ministries such as Vacation Bible School, Tae Kwon Do, dentistry, and other medical services. We also hope to solidify friendships by showing the people of Ecuador the compassion and love that God continuously and graciously shows us each day. I am excited to be a part of this amazing opportunity because it enables me to contribute to my church’s vision: to see the nations worship the true and living God.

A couple of years ago, a close family friend and younger brother did not make it back from a mission trip to Ecuador. Though it is tragic, I believe that Joshua’s life’s work is not yet over. I know that Joshua is now with our Heavenly Father, and in his death, many more people than I could have imagined have been brought closer to Christ. I feel compelled to go to Ecuador because I want to continue the work that Joshua so lovingly began. I want to spend my life living for a bigger purpose and greater cause. Instead of working incessantly for frivolous frills and instant gratification, I want to end well as Joshua did. Because of his passing, many people have received eternal life and I feel blessed to be able to be a part of this sacrifice. 1 Chronicles 16:24 tells us to "Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous works among all the peoples" and I intend to do just that.

I know that I am so weak and inadequate, but God will give me the strength I need to do His work. Galatians 6:9 is a source of encouragement for me, "let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up" and for this reason, I ask for your help. Please pray for me as I prepare to go back to Ecuador. Pray that the people will open their minds to us and their hearts to Jesus. Pray for the health and safe return of our team. Pray for me to have a servant's heart so that I may be able to be a vessel utilized by God for His glory. Also, if you feel compelled to do so, please consider supporting me financially as the total expenses are around $1300 for each member. Checks can be sent to 16796 E Davenport Rd Winter Garden, FL 34787 and made payable to KPCO with my name on the memo line. You can also donate online through our website at http://donate.harvestkpco.org/. Thank you so much again for taking the time to read this. I cannot wait to come back and share all the things God is doing in Ecuador.

Thanks in advance for your partnership through prayer and/or finances.

All the Best,

Sandra Choi
