Oh hello!
In all honesty, I’m not extremely proficient at writing letters, notes/reminders, or even journals for that matter. So why am I writing this you ask? I believe that God has blessed me with an amazing opportunity to embark on a mission’s trip this summer and the abundant joy that overwhelms my heart wants to share of why God has called me to serve the people of Ecuador.
After graduating from the University of Florida (#GoGators!), I can’t proudly boast that I’ve got my life altogether and it’s been a difficult struggle trying to find what my calling in life is. As cliché as it sounds, I wholeheartedly believe that life is short and that ‘You Only Live Once.’ Nevertheless, there are many negative connotations implied with the popular phrase YOLO, and an underlying majority of people use that phrase as an excuse to live recklessly; ironically, they’re the ones that end up taking life for granted. Although I can’t say that my walk with Christ has been perfect, God has bigger plans for me as I begin to trust in Him. Don’t get me wrong, living for the moment can be great, but it’s only temporary. In the end, this world is not our home and I believe that we should live with a purpose and a greater cause because we really only have one chance to live this life.
Thus, I have seized this opportunity presented before me and will humbly serve in the mission field from July 24- August 3. 15 members of the Korean Presbyterian Church of Orlando will have the privilege to serve God’s people and expand His kingdom through a multitude of tasks. A vast majority of our efforts in Ecuador will involve working with a missionary that is trying to reach villages in Sinangue, doing children’s ministry, building projects and construction, connecting with our missionary there, and envisioning what can be done in the future.
I’m thoroughly ecstatic about the
experiences and unknowns that lie ahead, and I desperately
believe that through Him, all things are possible. You can
probably envision that a trip of this magnitude requires much
support through prayer and financial partnership. Each
mission team member must raise $1,600 to help pay for the costs
of the trip. You can securely donate through
donate.harvestkpco.org or mail support to KPCO Harvest 16796
Davenport Road Winter Garden, FL 34787. I understand that
it may be difficult for some to send through financial support,
so I ask that you please keep our team in your prayers.
Prayer is the core and foundation upon which we are able to work
for God’s glory. If you could please pray that I would
faithfully depend on God, the safety and health of our team,
humility, patience, and an open heart. Thank you for time
and partnership through prayer and financial support.
His, therefore yours,
Daniel Kwak
