‘ello friends and family!
Hope this letter finds you well. For many of you, you know that I’ve been attending seminary at Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando and have been serving as the Youth Director at Harvest (KPCO). It’s been quite a journey thus far, and though it can be a bit crazy at times, I’m comforted in knowing that this is where God has called me to be – it’s in serving God & His beloved church in which I find joy, life, and purpose. As I desire and seek to lay my life down for His Kingdom, I’m finally beginning to understand with each passing year, why we go on missions: ‘Missions exists because worship doesn’t’ (John Piper). The underlying meaning behind Piper’s statement is that the earth, every nation, tongue, and tribe, be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord – for His glory and worship that is due to Him alone.
Similar to previous summers, I have the opportunity to go on a short-term missions trip overseas not only to Ecuador, but the Dominican Republic as well! This year will be a bit different from previous years as I have the amazing privilege of leading our team of 17 Harvesters to the Dominican Republic from June 16-26. I will also be apart of the Ecuador team that is going from July 14-23. Although I have a jam-packed summer, I don’t think I’ve ever been this excited and am anticipating great things! Through the course of both trips, we will be involved in children’s ministry (Vacation Bible School) for over 1000+ kids, dental/eyeglass ministry, visiting new and unreached villages, street evangelism, and manual labor.
I am utterly and truly grateful that many of you have supported me along my journey in answering God’s call to ministry thus far. For these upcoming mission trips, if you’d like to financially support me to cover the costs of the trip, you can partner with me online at donate.harvestkpco.org or mail support to KPCO Harvest 16796 Davenport Road Winter Garden, FL 34787, with my name written on the memo line. I understand that many of you have already partnered alongside me in ministry and the difficulties you might have supporting me financially, so I please ask for your prayer. Oswald Chambers says, "Prayer does not fit us for the greater work; prayer is the greater work,” and I believe this with all my heart to be true. Please pray for strength and perseverance, humble hearts to serve, our health, and most importantly, for God’s glory to be seen in these countries. Thank you all so much for your partnership in expanding God’s Kingdom.
For His Glory,
dk
However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only
aim is to finish the race and complete the task the
Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news
