To my close friends and family,
I, Yoonhyuk Kim, would like to let you to know that I will be taking part of my church’s, Harvest Korean Presbyterian Church of Orlando, 2017 Dominican Republic mission team that will take place this upcoming summer in June. I am here to gladly invite you to help take part in supporting Gods great commission, which is to go to the ends of the earth to proclaim his name. I will be sent to the mission field to fulfill and answer God’s calling for me to return to the Dominican Republic and show my love for Christ through showing my love to the people of the D.R.
This being my fourth year returning to the D.R, I do have a reason for returning every summer. Seeing Gods work occur in a different part of the world truly continues to amaze me, and to know that the little work that I do, is a part of the Lords greater plan. Whether it be performing a silly skit to make children laugh, or going door to door evangelizing the message of the Lords truth and love that it is being told to either unreached people or to those that need to hear of the good news once again. Knowing that God is doing great things in the Dominican Republic and within the lives of the Dominicans, urges me to want to continue in his greater story and plan.
As my walk with God continues every day, I pray that this mission trip will be a humbling experience for me. So I ask you to partner with me to send me off to the DR! One way you can partner with me is financially and through prayer. No matter the amount, it will be used to it’s full extent for the greatest purpose which is to reach and show love to all of God’s people.
It’s key and important that myself as well as the rest of my team are prepared and healthy to go serve God’s people, and I ask that you would please keep us in your prayers. As my team prepares for this trip in the up coming months I ask that you would keep us in your prayers. In particular, for health, that we may stay safe (from sickness or physical weakness), keep a heart for that we are doing God's work for his people, stay strong through spiritual warfare that may be experienced during our time there, that many may come to know Christ or renew their faith, and that the financial needs of each member will be cleared by God's work. As prayer is extremely important and is most definitely essential in order to do Gods works. From past experience from years past in the Dominican Republic, I have seen God work through so many people and it ultimately could've never happened through our sending team’s prayers. So I ask you to partner with me as well as the rest of my team to please pray and think about us as we go to fight for the Lord.
