Hello, friends and family!
I hope this letter meets you during a fantastic time. Here's what's been new in my life: For the past couple of years, I've been working in the world of non-profit, continuously learning new and exciting things. I've also gotten a lot better at bowling, dancing and drawing turtles. In addition to that, I've been serving at my church through various ministries, and one of those ministries is the very reason why I'm writing to you today. The purpose of this letter is to inform you of a mission trip to the Dominican Republic, I will be attending with my church - Harvest KPCO - from June 14 - 23. This will be my first time serving in the Dominican Republic and I couldn't be more thrilled!
As you may know, going to the Dominican Republic is a big change from my previous years of serving in the country of Ecuador. The reason why I decided to switch things up, stems from the wonderful opportunity to serve alongside the youth students of my church, who make up the majority of the DR team. Last summer, as my church was sending out the DR mission team, I couldn't help but be encouraged by watching many of the youth students I've taught and invested in, be so enthusiastic to go out to a new country and spread the love of Christ. During those moments, I felt convicted by God and made a commitment to be a part of the 2016 DR mission trip. So here I am today, preparing to go out and serve in the Dominican Republic! This is awesome!
As we are there, we shall be involved in helping a local church reach out to their community. We will be doing this through children's outreaches which includes sharing bible stories through singing songs, making crafts and performing skits. Also, we get the privilege of sharing the awesome story of Jesus through street evangelism by going to the houses of the people living in the area. Along with that, we will be a part of a prayer ministry and revival meetings.

-More people of the DR to come to know the powerful, life changing love of Christ.
