Soli Deo Gloria - Off to the Dominican Republic!

Greetings friends!

Another year has come and gone, and it’s a bit nostalgic thinking about returning to the Dominican Republic.  I can’t believe it’s already been a year since you all received my last letter.  This past year has been a rollercoaster to say the least as I’ve witnessed and testify to God’s amazing faithfulness.  As I wrap up my second year at Reformed Theological Seminary, I can’t believe all that’s happened since I last wrote to you.  I am now officially the Youth Pastor here at Harvest, and amidst the whirlwind of life, it has been an absolute blessing and joy to be used by God for His Kingdom. God’s revealed more of my brokenness and weaknesses, yet all the while reminding me that He uses delicate, cracked jars of clay such as myself for His names sake.  It is by and through God’s grace alone that I can be used for His purpose. I pray that with each passing day, God breaks my heart for what breaks His and everything that I am would be for His Kingdom’s cause. Because God has loved me, I will therefore go into the mission field and love the people whom He loves.

This year, I have the amazing opportunity to lead our team to the Dominican Republic once again.  Our team has grown larger than ever before, and we have 20 Harvesters that have committed to go to the DR from June 14-23.  With a team this size, I am humbled and in awe of how God continues to move in the hearts of young people.  God is still at work and we GET to be a part of His grand redemptive narrative to bring the Gospel to the ends of the earth!  It is in the Dominican Republic that we will be involved in Vacation Bible School (teaching, singing, arts & crafts), street evangelism, manual labor, and the preaching of the Word.

As the apostle Paul writes in Phil. 1.3-5, “I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.” I am able to do the work of the Lord because of you all and for that, I am truly thankful.  If you’d like to continue to financially support me and help cover some of the costs of the trip, you can partner with me online at donate.harvestkpco.org or mail support to KPCO Harvest 16796 Davenport Road Winter Garden, FL 34787, with my name written on the memo line.  I know that many of you have already supported my ministry thus far, and so if you aren’t able to at this time, I ask that you pray for our team. C.H. Spurgeon says, “prayer can never be in excess.”  Last year, many of our students unanimously said that they could feel the prayers of the people back home and they finally believed in the power of prayer.  Please pray for our team –  Pray for humility and unity as we serve, God’s providential care,  and for His glory to be made known in the Dominican Republic.

In Christ,
DK
