Hello friends and family!
I’m writing this letter to share with you the exciting things that God has been doing in my life. I am slowly approaching the end of my sophomore year of high school and preparing to transition into my junior year. Recently God has opened up new doors for me and provided the opportunity to attend a short term mission trip to the Dominican Republic.
This summer I have the privilege to be going on a short term mission trip to the Dominican Republic from June 19th-28th with my church at Harvest. This will be my first mission trip and I am excited to see what god has in store for me and the people of the Dominican Republic. After listening to testimonies and stories of the great things that god is doing in the Dominican Republic, I am even more inspired and eager to do the incredible work of god.
My team and I are devoted to serving the local people and developing relationships with them. We will be serving the people of the Dominican Republic by leading VBS for the children, while setting up lessons and activities for them to encounter and experience god in new and exciting ways. We will also be evangelising to the dominicans with the goal to make God’s name known and to guide them to Christ. Our hope and prayer is to encourage the long-term workers at the local church so much that it empowers them for the rest of the year.
In order to make this trip possible, I will need all the support I can get. I would love if you would pray for this mission trip experience. Pray for all the members of the team and that we would fulfill the call that God has called us to serve in the Dominican Republic. Pray that we would grow closer and closer to Christ through any challenges that we may face and through building relationships with the people. Pray for the people of the D.R. and that they would come to know Jesus and that they would accept him as their lord and savior. Another way you could partner with me is through financial support.
