Dear Friends and Family,
Hi! My name is Danielle Sohn and I'm an incoming junior at Winter
Park High School. This summer of 2017, I have the great privilege
to go and serve the Lord in the Dominican Republic with my
church.
My first trip to the Dominican Republic last summer changed my
life and exposed me to God's everlasting love for us. Ever since
we've come back, I've seen God work not only within my life, but
others around me. It's such a blessing for me to go and serve
others for the glory of God. This past year, God has softened my
heart and shown me how to love genuinely. I'm eager to go back
and see the work God has been doing over the year.
My church, Harvest, will be sending a team to the Dominican
Republic. Our missions team will be departing for the Dominican
Republic on June 19, and we will arrive back in Orlando on June
28. In those 10 days, we will be working with a local church,
Iglesia Comunitaria De Los Alcarrizos, through prayer,
redeveloping the ground of the church, evangelizing throughout
the Dominican Republic, and Vacation Bible School for children,
where we teach them Bible stories through skits, crafts, and
worship. In our short time there, we're able to encourage one
another with love and prayer as we continue our walks with
God.
As our team prepares for our mission trip to the Dominican
Republic, we realize the undeniable power of prayer. Would you
pray with me to serve the Lord wholeheartedly throughout my
mission trip? Please pray that our team is healthy: physically,
mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. That we may not lose
sight of His mission, and that we may be used as vessels by Him
to spread His name, abundant love and joy that can be found only
through Him. And that through our short encounter in the
Dominican, we may happily speak of God's great name.
